"Let's-a-go!" Jump into action as Super Mario on the classic NES entertainment system! Hello everyone! This model is my micro rendition of the Lego set 71374 Super Mario Nintendo Entertainment System. It is made of 242 pieces, with the television set ringing up at 151 pieces, and the game system, controller, and game cartridge ringing up at 91 pieces. The piece count could be as low as around 220 pieces if I had had the correct bricks. I tried to make my models as accurate to the original set as possible. Some details I included are the label and ports on the back of the television, the game in progress on the screen, the game cartridge's printing, buttons on the game controller, and an opening NES console. I hope everyone likes my entry!

Ecto-1 (Set 10274)

Micro Ecto-1 (10274)

When there is something strange in the neighborhood, who yah going to call? A micro replica of set 10274, this Ecto-1 is a perfect display piece for fans of the Ghostbuster franchise, and is travel sized for your convenience! While the scaling was not exact, I estimate the build is roughly quarter scale (and half scaled compared to minifig-sized versions of the car). And with a part count of 181 parts, you won't need to dish out hundreds of dollars to have your own!

I also supplied a Stud.io file as well, so if you are interested in building your own, you can! You can buy the parts off Bricklink for around 25 bucks (US), but a lot of the pieces are relatively common, so you will likely have some in your collection already.

71044 Disney Train and Station
All the magic of Disney’s  in a pint-sized package! Coming in at 300 pieces, this micro-build features the four cars of the original model, as well as a micro-scale station. My personal favourite of the lot is the blue and white canopy car, which features the passenger seats of the original build. Also, discovering the droid arm connection of the red engine wheels was a highlight of putting this one together. While trying to capture all the details and angles of the original train station in micro-scale, I had to look at all my 1x1 and 1x2 parts from a perspective I really wasn’t used to. Doors and windows were very tricky!

Micro Lamborghini Sián FKP 37

Based on set 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, this model uses many unique pieces and building techniques to replicate the details of the original car. It took me about two days and many iterations to build. The hardest part was definitely the rear of the car. My favorite part is probably the bone used for the headlights. I photographed it on top of a black IKEA shelf to replicate the official images.

This model contains 93 parts.

The runners are 1x2 / 2x2 inverted angle plates mounted sideways.

The hood and spoiler are built using diving flippers and the headlights are made using a bone.

The tail fins are pistols and the tail lights are 1x2 grilles.

The spoiler is mounted upside down using a 1x1 round tile with nipple.

The roof is held on using 1x1 tiles with vertical clips attached to the bottoms of the tiles.

I hope you like it!

  • 76161 DC Comics Super Heroes 1989 Batwing
  • My build is one of my favorite movie vehicles of all time. I could never afford the real thing, but thanks to this contest, I am now proudly displaying this version in my Lego room. I included the stand and minifigures to make it as true to the official set as possible.
  • Getting those curves in this scale was quite a challenge. I almost gave up on the whole thing until I came up with the idea to use a technic pin to attach a sloped grill piece near the bottom of the wing.
  • This MOC comes in at 255 pieces.

Based on the 1989 Batwing set 76161 using 74 pieces (the Batwing itself without everything else comes in at just 33 pieces!)

I had to throw in the brick separator and crow bars that come with it (included in the total piece count). My photos are based on the official set pictures, even though the scale of the figures is pretty different, but hey they aren't the right scale in the official set either! Instructions will be live on my Instagram, @FemmefromtheBlock April 1st!

Just saw another builder had some similar ideas, I'm glad we weren't any more similar! I am definitely in the same boat as them that I can't afford (and don't have space for) the official set and am now proudly displaying my micro version!

This is my micro build (300 pieces) of the Lego Colosseum 10276.

As a fun challenge, I wanted to see whether I could miniaturise the largest Lego set released to date.

Details include correct number of floors with their rows of columns, the 19th century brick wedges, the modern observation deck as well as accurate damage to the interior and exterior walls. Tan & dark tan slope pieces represent the seating. With two base plates - black and dark grey as in the original model - you can build the hypogeum (the corridor structures under the ancient stage) underground.

There's also a small reference to the Lego Fiat 10271.

I hope you like my build!

Best, Tom
