It is currently a freebie gift available at LEGO Brand Retail Stores and LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada UK/Europe | Australia) with purchases over $100 USD / $100 CAD / £100 GBP / $199 AUD. LEGO 40413 Mini Robots contains 366 pieces and is recommended for those aged 10+. This set is not available for purchase by itself. However, they do have the bigger model of the set (LEGO MINDSTORMS 51515 Robot Inventor) available for direct purchase. This set was released on October 15, 2020.

The great thing about this set is that its not that you can build 5 different models with the same number of pieces. Instead, you get to build all 5 models all at once.

Thank you to LEGO for providing LEGO MINDSTORMS 40413 Mini Robots (5 models in 1) for Toys N Bricks to review.

Official LEGO Product Description

Get five small-scale versions of the new MINDSTORMS robots you can build all at once! Mini Charlie, Mini Tricky, Mini Blast, Mini M.V.P. and Mini Gelo have the features of their larger counterparts, only smaller.

The front of the box shows the 5 mini models along with the number of pieces and recommended age.

The back of the box shows the larger LEGO MINDSTORMS 51515 Robot Inventor set along with the LEGO MINDSTORMS 40413 Mini Robots.

Contents & The Build

There are 5 bags of pieces inside the box. Note that the bags are not numbered. It is a small set so it's ok that its not numbered. You also get a mini instructions booklet.

You build the robots in the following order: Blast, Charlie, Gelo, M.V.P. and Tricky.

The first robot that you build is Mini Blast. He has moveable and adjustable arms and legs. The robot also has a flick-fire red missile. There is a spare missile as well.

Charlie has some tires that he uses to move around.

Back of robot Mini Charlie.

Gelo has poseable and adjustable legs.

M.V.P. is quite cool as he runs on wheels and has two different features. The first feature is the crane function.

You can also change the feature up to be a turret shooter. You can press on the shooter and it fires the cyan pieces out.

Tricky can carry a mini red ball.

Unfortunately, he cannot be in a position that is mid-way like how the box art shows him. Its either he puts it on the ground or lifts it all the way up. If you want it to presented like the box art, you need to hold onto the arms.

Overall Thoughts

This set is a nice mini replica of the larger LEGO MINDSTORMS 51515 Robot Inventor set. Its a great free mini gift that you can get at LEGO Brand Retail Stores and LEGO Shop at Home (USA | Canada UK/Europe | Australia) with purchases over $100 USD / $100 CAD / £100 GBP / $199 AUD from October 15-November 1, 2020 (October 15-20 for Australia). For a non-licensed set this size, it would probably normally retail for $24.99 USD / $34.99 CAD. For a 366 pieces set, it took me about 1.25 hours to sort the pieces and build the complete set. There are some Technic pieces which brings more variety to the build. Overall, its a neat set and probably a must have if you have the larger LEGO MINDSTORMS 51515 Robot Inventor set.
